The attendees who saw the trailer were left with the mouths agape.
"Incredible trailer," said one attendee. "And I love they finally got Noah's Ark right."
Making a Biblically-accurate Noah's Ark was very important to Chey. "So many people have told me how they wanted one of the greatest stories in the Bible to honor God and hopefully we did," said Chey.
While SXSW is a secular conference for both innovation and film, the overwhelming majority were stunned with how epic the faith-based film turned out.
Another attendee of SXSW said the film looked like a $100 million budgeted film. "This could definitely open number one at the box office," he said.
Chey met with the head of Amazon/MGM at the conference and talked about the film at length.
Pastors are embracing 'The Flood: End of Mankind' as a wake-up call to the church. "We are most definitely in the possible last days," said one pastor in San Antonio during a Life Surge event. "What a brilliant film for a time like this."

The trailer has received over 74,000 views in just 2 weeks.
The film's trailer will be premiered at the NRB - the largest faith-based convention in the U.S. before advanced screenings begin in June/July 2026 across the country.
The film will release nationwide in theaters starting October 1, 2026.
Kevin Sorbo plays Noah and according to the producers did an 'Oscar-caliber' performance.
Both Sorbo and Chey are sold-out Christians with Chey being a former atheist before finding Christ in a hotel room. Chey is a Harvard alumnus and director of over 18 feature films. Sorbo is a worldwide star of many films and TV shows.
Chey spent over 10 years bring 'The Flood: End of Mankind' to the big screen.
