Ahlgrens bilar, Sweden's Most Bought Car, Makes a Pit Stop at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles for Its First Halloween in the U.S.
The Iconic Swedish Candy Brand Brings a Taste of Sweden to one of Los Angeles' Most Beloved Fall Family Destinations with a Special Sampling Experience Oct. 23–25.
STOCKHOLM, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloetta Group, Northern Europe's leading confectionery company, today announced that it will celebrate Ahlgrens bilar's first Halloween in the U.S. with a special sampling experience at the iconic Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch from Oct. 23–25.
First made available to U.S. consumers earlier this year exclusively at Target stores nationwide, Ahlgrens bilar is bringing a taste of Swedish candy culture to one of Los Angeles' most beloved Halloween traditions, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. A seasonal staple for Angelenos, Mr. Bones welcomes thousands of families throughout the fall with its festive, whimsical atmosphere. The pumpkin patch's family-friendly setting and highly social, photo-forward environment offer a natural opportunity for visitors to discover a new candy and experience a taste of Sweden.
Through its partnership with Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, Ahlgrens bilar will join in on classic American Halloween festivities and introduce visitors to a candy that has been a Swedish favorite for more than 70 years. It's a chance for Angelenos to discover Ahlgrens bilar's unmistakable car shape, signature soft and chewy texture and unique fruity flavors.
The sampling will take place Friday, Oct. 23, from 2 p.m.–8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 25, from 11:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.
"For nearly 40 years, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch has been where Los Angeles families come to make fall memories, and we're always looking for ways to add a little extra delight to the day," said Lyra Marble, Owner of Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. "Ahlgrens Bilar is a sweet, playful treat that fits the spirit of the Patch perfectly, and we're thrilled to send our guests home with one more thing to smile about."
The brand's weekend sampling residency at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch marks the first stop in Ahlgrens bilar's larger bi-coastal Halloween campaign. After its weekend of introductions at the pumpkin patch, the Swedish candy will zoom along to a sampling experience at Hollywood Forever Cemetery during one of Cinespia's exceptionally well-attended movie screenings, before making the journey to New York City on Oct. 31 at a pre-parade activation in Washington Square Park ahead of the 34th Annual Children's Halloween Parade.
Ahlgrens bilar has been produced in Sweden since 1953, when an attempt to make marshmallows created something else entirely: a soft, chewy candy shaped like a car. It grew into a national favorite and is now known in Sweden as "Sweden's Most Bought Car," with approximately 2.6 billion candy cars sold every year. The brand recently made its U.S. debut exclusively at Target stores nationwide and on Target.com. The U.S. lineup includes four varieties: Original, Sour, Fruity Duo and Sour & Fruity.
