First $1 Million in Free Tickets for Service Members, Veterans, First Responders and Their Families to see JIMMY in Theatres November 6 Released by Vet Tix Donors and the Public Honor the Legacy and Service of

Beloved Actor and American Hero, Jimmy Stewart

TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) is proud to support the nationwide release of JIMMY, the new, major motion picture about Jimmy Stewart, opening November 6, 2026. Thanks to the generosity of major donors, service members, veterans, first responders and their families can now receive free tickets through Vet Tix to see the movie in theatres.

"There is no doubt in my mind that nothing would have moved my father more, or made him prouder, than to know that veterans, first responders, and active military and their families could experience the film, JIMMY, through the generosity of others," said Kelly Stewart Harcourt, Jimmy's daughter and the film's Executive Producer.

JIMMY, starring KJ Apa as Stewart, is the untold story of the beloved actor and Hollywood icon who set aside his career to serve, flying 20 combat missions over Europe with the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II. Stewart kept serving long after the war and rose to Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

"Jimmy Stewart answered the call at the height of his career, flying 20 combat missions in World War II and continuing to serve for decades after," said Michael A. Focatero III, Founder and CEO of Vet Tix and a U.S. Navy veteran. "Thanks to our generous donors, veterans, service members, first responders, and their families can experience his epic story in JIMMY together this Veterans Day season."

Iconic brands and corporations have stepped forward to support the JIMMY Give Back campaign, in addition to public donations, to provide tickets to as many veterans as possible. Donations have been provided by California Commerce Club, Citizen Watch America, Eight & Bob, Hanks for Our Troops, The Jimmy Stewart Museum, Justin Boots, Marcus & Mack, Montemoro, the National Football League (NFL), Papaian Studios, and White Castle.

"Through the remarkable generosity of Vet Tix and its donors, America's heroes and their families from the military, veterans, and first responders will be able to see JIMMY on the big screen and celebrate the story Hollywood icon, patriot and World War II hero, Jimmy Stewart," said Jason Brenek, Chief Executive Officer for Fathom Entertainment.
