Align Technology Hosts 2026 Invisalign ® Ortho Summit, Showcasing a “Beyond Possible” Vision for Connected Digital Orthodontics
LAS VEGAS & TEMPE, Ariz.--( BUSINESS WIRE)--Align Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALGN), a leading global medical device company that designs, manufactures, and sells the Invisalign® System of clear aligners, iTero™ intraoral scanners, and exocad™ CAD/CAM software for digital orthodontics and restorative dentistry, today shared highlights from its 2026 Invisalign ® Ortho Summit, held July 23–26, 2026 in Las Vegas.
The Summit brought together more than 500 orthodontists and practice team members for an immersive, multi-day program built around the theme “Beyond Possible.” The event showcased how innovation and connected digital workflows are expanding what can be achieved in orthodontic care with solutions designed to help doctors visualize, plan, and treat with greater confidence and predictability using the Invisalign ® System.
The event also celebrated the orthodontists and practices who have helped expand the possibilities of Invisalign treatment through their expertise, innovation, and commitment to creating healthy, confident smiles for their patients for nearly 30 years.
Attendees explored how Align’s integrated portfolio across the Align™ Digital Platform, including the Invisalign ® System, iTero™ intraoral scanners, and exocad™ CAD/CAM software is helping doctors transform cases once considered complex into more predictable, efficient, and routine Invisalign treatment.
“Doctors don’t just want another product, they want a connected experience that works the way their practice actually runs,” said Frank Quinn, Align Technology executive vice president and managing director, Americas. “That’s what ‘Beyond Possible’ is about. When the workflow comes together from scan to plan to treatment and beyond, it gives doctors more time to focus on patients and deliver great outcomes.”
An Innovation Hub Built for Hands-On Discovery
At the center of the Summit was the Align Innovation Hub, an immersive, hands-on environment where doctors explored digital workflows, technologies, and solutions through interactive stations and guided experiences.
“The innovations unveiled at Summit were remarkable. Align Technology’s commitment to continually raising the bar and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in orthodontics is inspiring,” said Dr. Erin Fraundorf, D.M.D., M.S.D, Artist Behind the Smiles and Founder of BOCA Orthodontic + Whitening Studio, Ladue, MO.
She continued, “What impresses me even more, though, is how much they listen to their doctors. They genuinely value our feedback and continuously evolve their technology based on what we need in practice, giving us more options, greater precision, and more control over treatment. That ultimately allows us to deliver an even better patient experience and achieve exceptional clinical outcomes.”
Anchored by dedicated experiences for the iTero Lumina™ intraoral scanner, the Hub featured five focused areas of concentration for discovery, engagement, and connection:
Eight additional areas highlighted next-generation digital orthodontics, including Align Innovations, Accessories, the Advantage Program, and Business Development & Practice Marketing.
Within the Hub, Align showcased a robust set of innovations designed to improve consistency, precision, and efficiency across clinical workflows:
Orthodontist-Led Sessions and Real-World Case Sharing
The Summit program featured orthodontist-led sessions covering complex cases, digital workflow optimization, and patient engagement strategies. Interactive formats including panels, breakout sessions, and live demonstrations that encouraged open dialogue and practical knowledge sharing.
Sessions highlighted how doctors are applying digital tools to treat a broader range of cases with greater confidence, while also driving efficiency and growth in their practices.
"The Invisalign Ortho Summit in Las Vegas left me energized about where Align Technology is taking orthodontics, particularly the advances in visualization, diagnostics, and direct 3D printing,” said Dr. David Walt, D.D.S., MSD., Walt Orthodontics, Vaughan, ON. “Learning alongside my peers reinforced the clinical excellence we can achieve with the Invisalign Palatal Expander and Invisalign First. I was equally grateful for the chance to share how I leveraged the Align Digital Platform to optimize practice efficiency and the patient experience."
Advancing “Beyond Possible”: Investments Across the Align Digital Platform
The 2026 Invisalign Ortho Summit reflects Align’s broader strategy to move beyond individual products and toward a connected experience that supports prevention, early intervention, and digitally driven care delivery. Ongoing investments in the Align™ Digital Platform continue to unify scanning, visualization, treatment planning, manufacturing, monitoring, retention, and now practice-management connectivity into a single, cohesive ecosystem for doctors and patients. Focus areas showcased at the Summit included:
“Events like the Invisalign Ortho Summit show what’s possible when innovation and real-world experience come together,” Quinn added. “For nearly 30 years, doctors have used our tools and technology to create 23 million new smiles for their patients. As we continue to build a more connected experience, we’re focused on helping doctors go beyond what was once thought possible both in how they treat patients and how they grow their practices.”
