Operation Homefront® Calls on Americans to Honor Military Families and Meet Growing Needs This Veterans Day Season Annual 11 Days of Impact campaign honors service, celebrates military and veteran families, and raises funds for life-changing programs and services

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As Veterans Day approaches, Operation Homefront® is calling on Americans to stand with military and veteran families facing growing financial challenges and demonstrate that their service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

"Veterans Day is an opportunity to honor service, but our responsibility to military and veteran families extends far beyond a single day," said retired Rear Adm. Alan Reyes, President and CEO of Operation Homefront. "This November, we are inviting Americans to join us in ensuring these families have the stability, resources, and support they deserve. Together, we can turn gratitude into action and make a lasting difference in their lives."

Throughout November, Operation Homefront will engage supporters to honor and celebrate our nation's military and veteran families and raise funds to sustain critical programs and services that help them build strong, stable, and secure futures. At the center of those efforts is the organization's annual 11 Days of Impact campaign, held November 1-12, which aims to raise $500,000 to help military and veteran families keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, and the lights on during times of hardship. Supporters who want to make an immediate impact can donate today through Operation Homefront's dedicated donation page.

On November 8, Operation Homefront will bring together 200 military families in Norfolk, Virginia, for its second Homefront Celebration event of the year, sponsored by Carnival Cruise Line and Dollar Tree. Designed to foster connection, celebrate service, and express gratitude, the two-fold event will host 50 new and expectant military parents aboard Carnival Sunshine while it is docked in Norfolk for a one-of-a-kind celebration while additional families will gather at Hilton Norfolk The Main to enjoy food, fun, and family-friendly activities. Every family in attendance at Homefront Celebration will leave with a meal-kit, reflecting the growing challenge facing military families nationwide.

As economic pressure continues to rise, Operation Homefront has seen a 48.8% increase in requests through our Critical Financial Assistance Program® this year. Food insecurity remains a serious concern with more than 28% of military families having experienced some level of food insecurity, nearly double the rate of U.S. households overall.

As demand for assistance continues to grow, corporate partners are helping Operation Homefront expand its impact through fundraising initiatives and life-changing program support for military and veteran families.

Throughout November, Operation Homefront will share stories of military and veteran families whose lives have been changed through its programs and will invite Americans everywhere to answer the call by supporting military and veteran families. Whether by making a donation, sharing stories on social media, or encouraging others to get involved, every action helps provide the programs and resources military and veteran families need to build strong, stable, and secure futures.

Together, we can turn gratitude into action.
