New deployment workflow helps organizations prepare managed Windows endpoints for IGEL Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery™

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IGEL®, a global software company delivering the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™, today announced it is working with Omnissa to validate a deployment workflow that will enable organizations to use Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM and Omnissa Freestyle Orchestrator to prepare supported Windows endpoints for IGEL Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery™ (IGEL BC&DR™). The announcement coincides with Omnissa ONE 2026, where IGEL and Omnissa are showcasing the integrated workflow for customers and partners.

Business continuity plans often focus on restoring applications, infrastructure, and data, but employees still need a working endpoint to reach those resources. The new deployment approach helps close that endpoint recovery gap by making IGEL BC&DR™ readiness easier to incorporate into everyday device-management operations. Using familiar Workspace ONE UEM workflows, IT teams can run pre-install checks and prepare supported endpoints for IGEL Dual Boot™, which installs IGEL OS alongside the existing Windows environment to provide an alternate operating path when a disruption occurs.

During a disruption, IGEL BC&DR™ with Emergency Mode can centrally move Dual Boot-enabled endpoints into IGEL OS and keep them there until administrators determine it is safe to return to normal operation. This helps users regain secure access to approved virtual desktops, digital workspaces, SaaS applications, and browser-based services while IT and security teams investigate and remediate the Windows environment.

The approach is designed to add BC&DR readiness to existing Workspace ONE device-management operations while complementing existing investments in identity, virtual desktop, SaaS, security, and browser management.
