Gen Re Releases 2025 U.S. Individual Disability Market Survey Results

STAMFORD, Conn.--( BUSINESS WIRE)--Gen Re recently released its U.S. Individual Disability Market Survey which captures Non-Cancelable, Guaranteed Renewable, Guaranteed Standard Issue, and Buy-Sell new sales and inforce results. Sixteen carriers participated in the survey, reporting $5.6 billion in inforce premium, an increase of 1.9% over 2024 results. New sales were up 2.7% to $491.8 million, while the number of new policies written increased 0.7% year over year.

Carriers reported mixed results for Individual Disability insurance sales.
